We are super awkward in front of the camera. Do you help with posing?
Absolutely. I don't expect you to be professional models. My approach gives you the best of both worlds: guided, authentic action and high-end editorial direction. During our consultation, we’ll talk about your genuine dynamic—whether you are quiet and romantic, or loud and goofy. On the day, I’ll direct scenes so your laughs and chemistry are 100% real, but we will also intentionally stage some striking, magazine-worthy editorial portraits tailored perfectly to your personality. You get the raw emotion and the cinematic polish.
What if our getting-ready hotel or venue is dark?
You do not need a massive, bright bridal suite with floor-to-ceiling windows. I specialize in cinematic lighting. Whether you are getting ready in a cozy, dimly lit hotel room or having your reception in a dark, late-night venue, I bring professional equipment to light it like a moody, intentional movie set.
Do you still take traditional family portraits?
Yes! While my portfolio is heavily focused on candid, raw, and editorial storytelling, I know how important classic family portraits are to your legacy. We will work together before the wedding to build a tight, structured shot list for family formals. We capture them efficiently and beautifully, getting those timeless group photos without keeping you away from your party for hours.
Do you shoot film?
Yes. I regularly shoot 35mm film and love incorporating that raw, nostalgic texture into wedding galleries. While I rely on my digital systems as my primary lead cameras to ensure we don't miss a single fast-paced, unpredictable moment on the dance floor, we can absolutely discuss adding 35mm or medium format film to your package for those quiet, editorial portraits. Just ask me about it during our consultation!
How long does it take to get our photos?
You will receive your fully edited, high-resolution gallery within 2 weeks for elopements and micro-weddings, and within 4 weeks for full wedding collections. Every single photo goes through a meticulous, frame-by-frame color-correction process to ensure it has that rich, professional, film-like finish.
How far in advance should we book?
For full wedding collections, couples typically secure their date 3 to 12 months in advance. For elopements and micro-weddings, I recommend reaching out 1 to 4 months ahead of time. Dates fill up quickly, so I always encourage reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind.
